Limiting Government
“I owe this country so much for what it has given me. We cannot allow what my family witnessed in Cuba to happen here. We must stand together and fight to prevent a turn towards socialism. Many will say that it will never happen here, not in America. If we don’t stand together, it will.
Countless men and women in uniform have lost their lives defending the ideals that our nation was founded upon. We cannot allow those lives to have been lost in vain. We owe it to them to pick up the mantle and fight for the basic God-given rights laid out by our founders. I did not fight overseas to preserve those freedoms, so that we may lose them here at home!” –Ben Loyola
Government has simply grown far too large and intrusive. It has become a behemoth of bureaucracy and intrusion that is completely opposite the vision of the Founder’s. We must return the culture of the federal government to one that respects States’ rights, property rights, tax payer’s rights, and also reins in activist judges.
The federal government needs to focus on national defense and criminal justice rather than placing undue burdens on the American citizens and private industry. We must eliminate the growth of the federal government and scale back the size and scope to constitutionally acceptable levels.
Regulation, spending, taxes, and other intrusions must be scaled back or eliminated completely in order to preserve America for our children. The 10th Amendment and States’ rights must be fought for and respected.
Barack Obama’s policies are pushing America further and further towards socialism. These policies simply do not work. They did not work in Cuba or the USSR and are not working in the United States today. We must value smaller government and the free market. We must not let what happened in Cuba happen here.
