Healthcare
“We cannot allow any form of socialized medicine to be instituted in the United States. It does not work in Communist Cuba and it did not work in the USSR. We cannot jeopardize the lives of average American citizens by leaving decisions about their healthcare up to a government bureaucrat.” –Ben Loyola
There are some that advocate a government solution to healthcare on both sides of the aisle. That position is 100% wrong. We must not add another burden to the taxpayer and then turn our citizens over to a socialist behemoth to care for their health needs.
The solution to providing healthcare to those that cannot afford it is for the government to get out of the way of competition and provide incentives to the healthcare industry. Competition across state lines amongst insurance companies must be allowed and encouraged. Insurance policies will quickly become more affordable.
We must also provide tax incentives for insurance companies and doctors to provide free and less expensive healthcare for those that cannot afford it, while insulating them from frivolous lawsuits. If the cost of doing business for healthcare providers is lessened in exchange for the provision of free or inexpensive healthcare, millions more Americans will have access to healthcare.
